Gloria Hernando is a Dominican American interdisciplinary creative based in Miami. Her practice intersects art, design, and creative direction with an aim at exploring the sacred relationship between humanity and the natural world. The elements in her work serve as a visual language that root her projects in a myriad of meaningful and sensory-driven ways.
“Art and design are tools I use to excavate the buried truths and treasures of life - all of which are found in both our outer and inner landscapes. The goal with my artistic process is to ignite a sense of well-being, empowerment and curiosity within others.”
Gloria is a self-taught artist that studied Architecture at the University of Miami, Interior Design at the University of Florida, and a Design Intensive at Parsons School of Design in Paris, France. She became an independent creative in 2018, opening the first Latin for Glory studio in the Miami Design District. Solo exhibitions include Seven Fires and Let There Be Light in Miami, along with Terra Mater: Burn to Bloom in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2025, she self-published her first coloring and poetry book, The Magical World of Orchids, which is available in the shop and in select retailers across Miami.
